Westgate Plant Swap!

Do you have indoor or outdoor plants that need divided? Looking to diversify the plant types in your yard? Friends of Westgate Park and the Westgate Neighbors Association are partnering with Westgate resident Lisa Gintz to host a plant swap!

Details:
Drop off plants on Friday, 5/10 from 6 – 8PM at the swap location. We will sort the plants into categories and get them organized for the next day. Please bring your plant in a bucket or tub if possible (all receptacles will be returned at the swap) with some identifying information if known, such as plant type, color, and any lighting/soil preferences.

Come back to the swap location on Saturday, 5/11 from 10AM – Noon and pick out some new plants! We’ll also have light refreshments.

*Please take only as many plants as you brought to share. If you have no plants to share but would like to take one home, please consider a donation to Friends of Westgate Park as ‘payment’ for the plants.*

Here are some examples of plants that would work well for this swap: Hostas, irises, daylilies, black-eyed susans, ornamental grasses, asters, purple coneflower, peonies, etc.

Lisa’s house is at the corner of Binns and Fremont – look for the signs!
